I’ve been being kept really busy for the last couple of weeks working on some doll commissions for one of our neighbours. She approached me about using this book that she had as a start point and creating some wedding themed dolls for some younger cousins who were coming to her daughters wedding (incidentally her daughter is the brilliant Amaliene silversmith and creator of my beloved dragonfly (below)).
For the girl I made a wedding doll, for the little boy I started with a teddy pattern but it was to be adapted to become a rabbit. I worked on these all through the bank holiday weekend (apart from when I was doing the bike ride, no rest for the wicked you know…).
But I think it was definitely worth it, I’m really pleased with them & so was Claire 🙂
