As it was Grandpa’s birthday this weekend we headed down to Boscombe to wish him many happy returns (and go for a tasty meal) so here are a few photos from the restaurant where we had lunch.

I also baked a cake which I then had to nurse in the car all the way to Grandpa’s. by the time I got there I was sick of the sight of the thing so neglected to take a photo of it. I can however reveal it was a dense chocolate cake with chocolate ganash and decorated with white chocolate buttons (recipe here). Happy Birthday Grandpa!
