Jam and I were down in Boscombe for a wedding (his cousins) and the reception was held in a mock Italian villa set in some of the Compton Acres gardens.
What we saw of the gardens were so lovely we decided to go back the day after and look round the rest. So here is the photolog of our wander.
As well as having some stunning planting there were also sculptures to add to the effect.
Can you see the toucan? There were quite a few animals
There were also some figures lurking among the beasts
Jam couldn’t help get involved in the sculpture.
But he wasn’t the only fun-guy in the garden…
My favourite bit (apart from this rather magnificent dragon archway)
were the water features and the way that because of the different levels bits of the garden overlapped each other making the very most of the space. We really enjoyed it and very much recommend a visit.
